WORKING VISIT OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS TO THE 80TH
SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY (UNGA 2025) NEW YORK

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan will undertake a Working Visit to New York, United States of America, from 25 to 28 September 2025, to attend the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 2025) and related meetings. The theme for UNGA 2025 is “Better together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development and Human Rights”.
The Foreign Minister is scheduled to deliver Malaysia’s National Statement at the General Debate on 28 September 2025 (at approximately 5am Malaysia time). The session will be broadcast live via UN WebTV (https://webtv.un.org/en).
In addition to attending a series of high-level meetings, the Foreign Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Malaysia’s participation at the UNGA 2025 reaffirms the Madani Government’s strong commitment to multilateralism and strengthening global cooperation in advancing peace and security, trade and investment, green economy, emerging technologies and sustainable development.
