OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND TO MALAYSIA 9-11 JUNE 2025

OFFICIAL VISIT OF
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND TO MALAYSIA
9-11 JUNE 2025

President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda will undertake an official visit to Malaysia from 9 to 11 June 2025. This marks President Duda’s first visit to Malaysia since assuming office in August 2015. The visit takes place at a significant moment, coinciding with Malaysia's Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025 and Poland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of the same year. The President will be accompanied by his spouse, Madam Agata Kornhauser-Duda, and senior government officials.

President Duda will be accorded an official welcoming ceremony at Perdana Putra Complex, Putrajaya on 10 June 2025, followed by a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, where both leaders are expected to deliberate on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including trade and investment, defence industry, agriculture, halal sector, and agri-commodities. The leaders are also anticipated to exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest. In honour of President Duda and his delegation, the Prime Minister will host an official luncheon at the Seri Perdana Complex.

President Duda is also scheduled to undertake a visit to the Second Regiment of the Royal Armoured Corps at Kem Sunggala, Port Dickson, and deliver a public lecture at the Asia-Europe Institute, Universiti Malaya.

The visit underscores the robust and friendly relations between Malaysia and Poland, which are founded on mutual respect and close cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1971. In 2024, Poland was Malaysia’s 8th largest trading partner among European Union member states, with total bilateral trade increasing by 19.5% to RM5.66 billion from 2023. Malaysia's primary exports to Poland include electrical and electronic products, rubber products, and machinery, while key imports from Poland consist of machinery, equipment and parts, electrical and electronic products, and transport equipment.
