MALAYSIA WELCOMES THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY’S CLEAR AND STRONG
SUPPORT FOR PALESTINE
Malaysia welcomes the clear and strong support of the international community for Palestine as demonstrated through the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly 10th Emergency Special Session on 12 June 2025 in New York.
Malaysia, in line with our consistent position on the Question of Palestine, has co-sponsored and supported the Resolution. A total of 149 Member States of the United Nations also voted in favour of the Resolution. The overwhelming majority reflects the growing political and moral resolve of the international community to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East.
Malaysia demands Israel to fully comply with its obligations under international law by implementing an immediate, permanent, and unconditional ceasefire; ending all indiscriminate attacks against civilians; and ensuring aid distribution is unimpeded, safe, swift and at scale.
Malaysia remains steadfast in its solidarity with the Palestinian people and urges the international community to exert all efforts, in realising an independent State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital.
