MALAYSIA REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR PALESTINE
AT THE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF THE ORGANISATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION (OIC)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan attended the Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 25 August 2025.
In Malaysia’s National Statement, the Foreign Minister strongly condemned Israel's military actions in Gaza with the intention to permanently occupy Palestinian land. The Foreign Minister also emphasised the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with its ever-increasing death toll, and famine officially declared by the United Nations.
In his statement, the Foreign Minister urged OIC Member States to continue raising their voices and take decisive actions to achieve peace and justice for Palestine.
The meeting adopted a resolution titled “The 21st Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to Consider the Continuing Israeli Aggression Against the Palestinian People”.
At the sidelines of the meeting, the Foreign Minister held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Pakistan and Qatar to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, in addition to discussing the situation in Palestine.
