WORKING VISIT OF
YB DATO’ SERI HISHAMMUDDIN TUN HUSSEIN, MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MALAYSIA
TO THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE 1 – 2 MAY 2021
Foreign Minister, Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein will undertake a working visit to Singapore from 1 to 2 May 2021. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit is at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, and to reciprocate his recent working visit to Malaysia. It will be Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin’s first working visit to Singapore as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin is also scheduled to call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as well as Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Teo Chee Hean during the visit.
Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin and Dr. Balakrishnan will discuss issues of common interest including initiatives to further develop mutually beneficial collaboration, focusin g on the post-pandemic cooperation. The two Foreign Ministers will also be exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The visit will be conducted in full compliance with the strict health and safety protocols put in place by the Government of Singapore and Malaysia.
