WORKING VISIT OF YAB PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will undertake a Working Visit to the Republic of Singapore on 13 September 2023 to attend the Milken Institute 10th Asia Summit.
YAB Prime Minister will be accompanied by YABhg. Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail. The delegation will also include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, as well as officials from the relevant Ministries and Agencies.
At the said Summit, YAB Prime Minister will participate in two special sessions namely, ‘A Conversation with the Prime Minister of Malaysia’ and ‘Malaysia’s Investment Outlook: A Conversation between YAB Prime Minister and Global Investors’. Both sessions will involve leaders of global industries and investment companies.
During the Working Visit, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, will host a private tea session for YAB Prime Minister where both leaders are expected to exchange views on domestic and international developments.
In 2022, Singapore is Malaysia's second largest global trading partner with bilateral trade amounting to RM390.4 billion (USD83.53 billion), accounting for 12.9% of Malaysia's total trade. It represents a 29.4% increase from the corresponding period in 2021 (RM301.7 billion/USD64.55 billion).
