STREET RALLIES IN CATALONIA REGION, SPAIN
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the situation in the Catalonia Region in Spain where there have been major protests that began on 13 October 2019.
In this connection, the Ministry advises Malaysians to postpone non-essential travel to the region for the time being until the general situation has improved.
Malaysians who are visiting Barcelona and the Malaysian community residing in Catalonia are advised to give utmost priority to their safety, and avoid the areas of rallies and demonstrations. They are also advised to follow instructions issued by the local authorities.
