STATUS OF MALAYSIAN FOLLOWING THE EARTHQUAKE IN AFGHANISTAN
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the High Commission of Malaysia in New Delhi, India would like to confirm that so far, no Malaysian have been reported to be injured or directly affected by the earthquake that struck Afghanistan’s Province of Herat on 7 October 2023.
The Government of Malaysia extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of Afghanistan following the devastating earthquake which resulted in the heavy loss of lives with thousands of people injured and huge destruction to properties and public infrastructures.
The people of Malaysia are in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan during this difficult period. Our profound thoughts and prayers are with them, particularly with those affected by the disaster.
