WINSTON PETERS TO MALAYSIA
26 – 27 MARCH 2019
The Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, Winston Peters, will be undertaking a Working Visit to Malaysia on 26 to 27 March 2019. The purpose of the visit is to reinvigorate existing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Winston Peters is scheduled to meet the Deputy Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, and Member of Parliament, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on 27 March 2019.
The visit will provide opportunities for both countries to explore ways to strengthen existing bilateral cooperation in various areas such as trade, investment, education, tourism, defence and people-to-people ties. In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Christchurch on 15 March 2019, both sides are also expected to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in combating the scourge of terrorism.
