MALAYSIA STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE ISRAELI AIRSTRIKE ON NASSER
HOSPITAL IN GAZA
Malaysia strongly condemns the Israeli Zionist regime’s airstrike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza on 25 August 2025, killing at least 20 people, including medical personnel, journalists and injuring many others.
Malaysia reiterates its strong opposition to the targeting of hospitals, journalists, and humanitarian workers, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law that explicitly prohibit attacks on medical facilities and the press. Such actions constitute war crimes and must not be allowed to go unpunished. The deliberate targeting of journalists is not only a heinous crime against innocent lives, but also a direct attack on press freedom.
Malaysia urges the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to immediately act with resolve to halt Israel’s ongoing atrocities and to hold the regime fully accountable.
Malaysia also urges all parties to redouble efforts towards a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
