LATEST UPDATES ON MALAYSIANS IN IRAN
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Malaysia in Tehran, is closely monitoring the security situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This ongoing effort has intensified following the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression against Iran on 13 June 2025, which have significantly heightened tensions in the region.
Given the rapidly deteriorating conditions, all Malaysians currently in Iran are strongly urged to leave the country immediately by any available means. The situation remains highly volatile and may worsen without warning. The safety and well-being of Malaysian citizens remain the utmost priority of the Ministry.
At this time, the Embassy is in constant contact with all registered Malaysians in Iran. At present, all have been confirmed safe and have been advised to depart the country without delay. The Embassy will continue to provide the necessary consular assistance to facilitate their departure.
