FACILITATING THE RETURN OF MALAYSIAN STUDENTS
TO PURSUE THEIR STUDIES IN THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia is pleased to announce that the Ministry has successfully coordinated the return of Malaysian students to continue their studies in China; by arranging chartered flights to Shanghai, China. This is achieved following the agreement reached between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB Dato' Sri Saifuddin Abdullah and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Councilor of the People’s Republic of China , His Excellency Wang Yi in December 2021 and during the latter’s official visit to Kuala Lumpur in July 2022.
Thus far, the Ministry in collaboration with the Embassy of China in Kuala Lumpur have arranged for the return of a total of 450 Malaysian students to China through three (3) chartered flights on 8 August and 7 September 2022.
All students wishing to return to China for their studies need to obtain the invitation letter or JW201 form from their respective university. They can then submit their application for the visa to enter China at the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Kuala Lumpur.
The Malaysian students who have obtained the invitation letter or JW201, and wishing to return to China using the chartered flight may register their interest with the following contact or email address:

Both the Ministry and the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Kuala Lumpur with the collaboration of Malaysia Airlines, will continue to facilitate the return of these students to pursue their studies there, till such a time that the airlines industry has come to its normalcy.
