EARTHQUAKE IN NORTH COTABATO, THE PHILIPPINES
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring developments following a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in east of Tulunan in North Cotabato, the Republic of the Philippines on 29 October 2019. The epicenter of the earthquake is located at approximately 152 km from Davao City.
According to the local authorities, the earthquake has so far, claimed two (2) lives and caused damages to buildings and residences. There has been no report of any Malaysians affected by the earthquake.
The Ministry wishes to convey the sympathies and condolences to the Government and the people of the Republic of the Philippines, in particular to those who have been directly affected. Malaysia stands in solidarity with the Philippines during this challenging time.
