APPOINTMENT OF NEW MALAYSIAN HEADS OF MISSION
Nineteen new Malaysian Heads of Mission have been appointed by a decree from Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah.
As the country is still facing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has decreed that the new Malaysian Heads of Mission will be appointed by Written Decree instead of holding the customary ceremony at the National Palace.
The newly-appointed Malaysian Heads of Mission are:-
Dato’ Nadzirah Osman
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to the Netherlands
Dato’ Nadzirah Osman began her diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. Prior to this appointment, Dato’ Nadzirah was the Deputy Secretary General (Multilateral Affairs) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Czech Republic from 2014 until 2017.
Ambassador Zakri Jaafar
High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia to the United Kingdom
Ambassador Zakri Jaafar began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992. Prior to this appointment, Ambassador Zakri was the Ambassador of Malaysia to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan from 2014 until 2017.
Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Belgium
Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. Prior to this appointment, Dato’ Ahmad Rozian was the Director General of the ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Kuwait from 2015 until 2018.
Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to France
Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. Prior to this appointment, Dato’ Mohd Zamruni was the Director General of the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam from 2016 until 2019.
Dato’ Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar
High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia to Singapore
Dato’ Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996. Prior to this appointment, Dato’ Dr. Azfar was the Ambassador of Malaysia to France. He also served as the Director General of the Department of Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2015 until 2018.
Dato’ Roslan Abdul Rahman
High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia to Australia
Dato’ Roslan Abdul Rahman began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. Prior to this appointment, Dato’ Roslan was the Ambassador of Malaysia to Cuba. He also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Azerbaijan from 2014 until 2018.
Ambassador Ikram Mohd Ibrahim
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Austria
Ambassador Ikram Mohd Ibrahim began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996. Prior to this appointment, Ambassador Ikram was the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan. He also served as the Undersecretary of the Multilateral Security and International Organizations Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2015 until 2018.
Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah
High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam
Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1996. Prior to this appointment, Raja Dato’ Reza was the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine. He also served as the Undersecretary of the West Asia Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2015 until 2018.
Ambassador Anizan @ Siti Hajjar Adnin
High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia to Canada
Ambassador Anizan @ Siti Hajjar Adnin began her diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994. Prior to this appointment, Ambassador Anizan @ Siti Hajjar was the Undersecretary of the Southeast Asia Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also served as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ireland from 2017 until 2018.
Kennedy Mayong Onon
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Croatia
Kennedy Mayong Onon began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. Prior to this appointment, Kennedy was the Undersecretary of the Multilateral Security Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served as the Minister at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York, United States of America.
Zamani Ismail
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Egypt
Zamani Ismail began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. Prior to this appointment, Zamani was the Undersecretary of the Administration and Security Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served as the Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission of Malaysia in Canberra, Australia.
Shaiful Anuar Mohammad
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Oman
Shaiful Anuar Mohammad began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1998. Prior to this appointment, Shaiful Anuar was the Undersecretary of the Human Resource Management Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served as the Minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington D.C., United States of America.
Francisco Munis
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Hungary
Francisco Munis began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1998. Prior to this appointment, Francisco was the Deputy Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served as the Minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow, Russia.
Tengku Dato’ Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin

Tengku Dato’ Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. Prior to this appointment, Tengku Dato’ Sirajuzzaman was the Deputy Director General (Political-Security) at the ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as the Consul General of Malaysia to Hong Kong, China, from 2014 until 2019.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Mohammad Faizal was the Undersecretary of the East Asia Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served as the Minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok, Thailand.
Shazryll Zahiran

Shazryll Zahiran began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000. Prior to this appointment, Shazryll was the Deputy Director General (Policy and Strategic Planning) at the Department of Policy Planning and Coordination, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as the Consul General of Malaysia to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, from 2011 until 2015.
Raja Saifful Ridzuwan Raja Kamaruddin

Raja Saifful Ridzuwan Raja Kamaruddin began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000. Prior to this appointment, Raja Saifful Ridzuwan was the Deputy Director General (Coordination and Implementation Monitoring) at the Department of Policy Planning and Coordination, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as the Consul General of Malaysia to Los Angeles, United States of America, from 2014 until 2018.
Azri Mat Yacob
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Lebanon
Azri Mat Yacob began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001. Prior to this appointment, Azri was the Undersecretary of the Communication and Public Diplomacy Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served as the Minister at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, Japan.
Nur Azman Abdul Rahim
Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to Argentina
Nur Azman Abdul Rahim began his diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001. Prior to this appointment, Nur Azman was the Deputy Director General (Socio-Cultural) at the ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also previously served at the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore.
