ANGARA AIRLINES FLIGHT 2G2311 CRASHED IN TYNDA, AMUR OBLAST, THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION 24 JULY 2025
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is deeply saddened by the tragic crash of Angara Airlines Flight 2G2311, which was en route from Ignatyevo Airport to Tynda Airport in Russia’s far-eastern Amur Oblast on 24 July 2025. The aircraft reportedly went down during its final approach to Tynda, resulting in the loss of all 48 lives on board ─ 42 passengers and 6 crew members.
Malaysia stands in solidarity with the Government and people of the Russian Federation during this time of profound sorrow. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and all those affected by this tragedy.
The Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow has confirmed that no Malaysians were on board the flight.
